Dedicated to the memory of Terry Kerslake

This site is a tribute to Terry and is a place to share memories of him.

Terry leaves a partner, three children and three grandchildren who would all dearly love to be able to reflect on memories of him from some of the people who knew him best throughout his life. Please do feel free to share any thoughts you have or even photographs.

In lieu of flowers, any donations you may generously wish to make in his memory can be made by clicking the fundraising link on the left hand side of this page and will support two charities that we feel he would have wanted, Guide Dogs and Parkinson's UK. Although he wasn't visually impaired, Dad had a close friend who is blind and he found the way he overcomes such adversity very inspirational. He was also very much an animal lover, and we all feel Dad would be delighted to support the wonderful work Guide Dogs do.

He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Thoughts

Terry was a Sergeant at Cranleigh when I was a new Pc at Godalming in 1986. He was always welcoming and supportive, a supervisor whom I drive about several times once I had passed my driving course. I remember his cheeky side in welcoming a new WPC to the station by leaving her alone in the station office and pretending a helicopter was coming down in the high street to see her reaction! Stand down Sarge, your service is over and rest in peace.

Terry was my skipper when I was a young PC he was very kind, with a pleasing calm manner full of wise words and keen to keep a enthusiastic PC from going off like a bull in a china shop. He always greeted his team with genuine interest each day. A lovely man. I only found out he died today and it really upset me. God bless you sarge

Terry was a loverly man and devoted to his family. We first met at Shalford infants school where he became my oldest friend. Like John, we made many trips trainspotting and stockcar racing. In later years our trips went further afield including a loverly trip to Malta and a mad trip by train around Europe where we tried to visit 21 capital cities in 14 days (we managed 16) He always had a terrific sense of humour and made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Unfortunatly i havn't seen him for a few years due to a change in my circumstances but he's never been forgotten. Terry have a safe last journey mate. Bonzo (Dave)
