Terry was a Sergeant at Cranleigh when I was a new Pc at Godalming in 1986. He was always welcoming and supportive, a supervisor whom I drive about several times once I had passed my driving course. I remember his cheeky side in welcoming a new WPC to the station by leaving her alone in the station office and pretending a helicopter was coming down in the high street to see her reaction! Stand down Sarge, your service is over and rest in peace.
