When my cousin, Terry, was a small boy, we went for a picnic to West Wittering beach.Terry was playing near a breakwater and suddenly disappeared down a hole in the water. I remember Aunty Eileen(his Mum) pulled up her skirts and rushed down, grabbed him by his hair - which was just visible - and pulled him out! As he grew older he had a fantastic memory re: train numbers. My Dad was in Wales, once, and thought he would catch him out. When he asked if he knew where the train, by that number, came from, he was astonished that Terry was exactly correct.! - He was a perfect candidate for the police - although when he left scjhool it was to become a french polisher! - You were a lovely man, Terry - Rest In Peace !!
